Out of the Loop

sometimes you and your family are planning a vacation . You know what cities you're going to visit, what hotel you're going to stay at, and all the dates of travel. Suddenly your brother comes in and asks ," where are we going again? " " haven't you been paying attention?" you say. " You are so out of the loop ! "

We think "of the loop" as the current information that most people are up on. If you're out of the loop, then you simply don't know what's going on.

Out of the Loop : expression means not aware of what's going on ; unaware of current news or culture.
